As the only design hub in the province, the Gangwon Institute of Design Promotion was established in November 2019 to strengthen the competitiveness of regional industries by converging design with government policy.

In recent years, industries have been in an excessive competition due to technology advancement, leveling, and maximization of efficiency. The importance of creativity is also increasing further to secure competitive advantage among companies.

We will take the lead in fostering the design industry and revitalizing local industries by establishing a competitive design industry ecosystem through various design support projects that keep up with the trends of the times and environmental changes, such as the 4th industrial revolution and smart industry.

In the midst of such paradigm shifts, we will build a competitive industrial ecosystem where not only the traditional industries of Gangwon-do but also growth engine industries can successfully develop products and create sound jobs by promoting various projects based on design and convergence.

The Gangwon Institute of Design Promotion will do its best to lay the foundation for the growth of the local economy by defining and researching creative design values and future industries.
